Two guests reclining in the open-air clay bath under the polytunnel, covered head to toe in grey clay, a wooden step at the edge.

Things to do,
slowly.

A short index of what there is to do here — the rituals, the land, and what each one costs. Nothing is required. You ask, we light the fire.

No spa menu, no booking app, no schedule pinned to your door. You tell us what you feel like — a fire under the tub tonight, the clay tomorrow if the sun holds — and a few hours later it's ready. The list below is a guide, not a programme.

IThe rituals

Signature
wellness.

Four things we light, heat or lay out by hand. Each one is a paid extra except the sauna and pool — their price, season and how they actually work, below.

01

Clay bath

A clay pit in the woods. Sit, dry, rinse.

€40–120 1–4 days
How it works

Three hundred metres up the hill, in a private clearing the sheep graze around, there's a clay pit. You sit in it, you let the clay dry on your skin in the sun, you rinse it off in an outdoor shower. People do this once a day for a few days running.

02

Wood-fired hot tub

A wooden tub, heated slowly with cordwood.

€35 / €50 one day / two days
How it works

Three-hour sessions, water warmed slowly over a wood fire, up to three people. Watch the hills go dark from the lattice gazebo. Add cannabis leaf to the water if you like — same price.

03

Infrared sauna & pool

Sauna in the wellness yurt, pool for the cool-down.

Included with every stay
How it works

The infrared sauna sits in the wellness yurt; the small outdoor pool is a few steps away for the cool-down. Both come with your stay — no booking, no extra charge, in and out whenever you like.

Open all day

04

Farm breakfast

Whatever the farm and the neighbours made that week.

€15 per person
How it works

Cured meats and sausage from the farm, eggs from the chickens you saw, bread, butter, homemade jam. Some of it is ours, some of it a neighbour's — it changes with the week.

Most mornings
Local breakfast spread on a long table — cured meats, sausage, eggs, bread, butter and jam.
IIOn the land

Active,
mostly free.

Out of the door, no charge for most of it. Quiet roads, a bow on a hay bale, sculptures in the grass, and the right to do absolutely nothing.

05

Bikes & paths

Three kinds to borrow. The roads are very up-and-down.

€10 / €25 / €35 per day
How it works

Regular, e-trekking and e-mountain bikes to borrow. Roads here are quiet and very up-and-down — the electric ones are worth the extra. Cellars are within cycling distance in every direction.

06

Pick up a bow

A small range behind the cabins. Bows for adults and kids.

Free for guests
How it works

A small archery range tucked behind the cabins, with bows for adults and kids. Twenty minutes of it does something nice to your shoulders. Nobody minds if you are no good at it.

07

Walk the Forma Viva

Sculptures scattered through the grounds and the hill.

Free on the property
How it works

Sculptures by visiting artists stand through the grounds and the hill above — part of Makole's long-running international sculpture park. Easy to find even if you aren't looking for them.

Self-guided

08

Do nothing

Hammocks, porches, a quiet meditation room.

Free whenever
How it works

There's a hammock, several porches, a quiet meditation room, and the kind of bench that makes a phone fall out of your hand. Some of the best afternoons here have no plan at all.

We won't program your stay

IIIA taste of Haloze

A neighbour's cellar.

Steep vineyards, old castles, empty trails. Most people haven't been here yet. For a guided tasting we'll send you to a neighbour's cellar with a phone number and a small map — white, mostly, honest, mostly. You'll come back with a bottle and the name of another cellar.

VPlan a stay

Just ask — no app, no menu.

Tell us roughly when, and which of these you'd like waiting for you. We'll sort the rest once you're here. For direct bookings (which we prefer) write or call Irena; for one-night stops, Booking is fine. We answer in Slovenian, English and a workable German.

Season

The clay only works in summer; the tub and sauna run the whole open season.
